This time, Sakuya Konohana, a second-year member of AiryPro, has collaborated with Mitsubu Sake Brewery (Kashima City, Saga Prefecture), a long-established Japanese sake brewery that represents traditional Japanese culture, and “Sake: Sakuya” will be released in November 2023. It started on the 29th of May.
Sakuya is known as the “goddess of sake brewing”, and her staple food is sake. This unique background was the impetus for this collaboration. This special sake features an original illustration by Nayuki Mizuka, Sakuya’s “mama artist” on the package, so you can enjoy not only the sake but also the artwork.
Kobu Sake Brewery has successfully collaborated with famous content such as “Fist of the North Star” and “Kodoku no Gourmet”, and this collaboration with VTuber is also attracting a lot of attention. As a new attempt at “fusion of sake and digital culture”, traditional sake brewing techniques and modern pop culture intersect, creating a collaboration that will cultivate a new fan base and spread the appeal of sake more widely.
